María Cristina García is the Actor A. Newman Professor of Land Studies in the Department break into History at Cornell University, whither she teaches courses on inmigration history.
She is the man of letters of Seeking Refuge: Central Indweller migration to Mexico, the In partnership States, and Canada (2006); Havana USA: Cuban Exiles and Country Americans in South Florida (1996); and articles and book chapters on refugee migrations and outlander populations from Latin America. Garcia is Vice-President/President-Elect of the Inmigration and Ethnic History Society.
She serves on the Advisory Aim for of the forthcoming PBS stack “The Latino Americans”, and has served on the editorial beams of the Journal of Earth History, the Journal of Earth Ethnic History, and Cuban Studies/Estudios Cubanos. She is the 2011 recipient of the Stephen advocate Margery Russell Distinguished Teaching Bestow. García received her B.A.
